Friday was so much fun.  Mark and Sheila came and hung out with me.  We ate at Campuzano's for lunch with Russell, Andy, and Angela.  Then, we just visited all of their old teachers and friends.  That evening, Ang and I went to Chipotle to eat and then to West Village in Dallas to hang out.  I had never been to West Village, but it's so cool.  It's kinda the upper side of Dallas, but I didn't feel too out of place.  Bottom line: fun time.

Yesterday I was a stinkin bum.  I slept most of the day and watched the Texas/ Missouri game and the OU/ Baylor game.  Last night I worked basketball games then went to Karioke (?) night in the student center.  It was funny!

Tomorrow's Friday!  Yea!  My older brother Mark and his wife Sheila are coming to Waxahachie to see me (and to do some other business, but I like to think it's just to see me).  I'm in Longview right now cause I had to finish all the business with my speeding ticket.  I had to take my defensive driving form and driving record in person to the courts.  So that's over with.

TWIRP: The Woman Is Required to Pay
TWIRP is a week each semester where girls have the opportunity to ask a guy on a date.  Kinda like Sadie Hawkins, minus the dance.  There's kinda an unwritten rule that you either TWIRP a friend or a guy that you already know likes you.  It's a little faux pas to TWIRP a guy you like (who has shown no interest in you first).  Guys typically like it since they get a free night of hanging out, but they will express their dislike in the creepy girls who TWIRP the guy they are crushing on.  hehe  So, just like last semester (but different guy), I'll probably TWIRP one of my friends.  Never ever ever would I TWIRP a guy who I seriously liked as a way to show him I liked him.  That's common sense.

Well, tests are over.  I think I made A's on 2 of them and probably a B on the other.  I still have the paper due Friday though.  The week's going well.  One of Karissa's friends is in town so we've had some fun.

Guess what...TWIRP week is next week.  I think I am going to TWIRP someone.  We'll see what happens though.

Oh, it was requested that I explain ghost-man-on-base baseball.  Well, when I was a little kid, there was only my older brother, my two cousins and me.  So when we wanted to play baseball (which was everyday), it was 2-on-2.  Therefore, if one person is on base and the second person gets on as well, someone needs to bat.  So we would say there is a ghost man on base in place of that person.  When they hit again, the ghost man "ran" in their place.  The way we knew if they were out or not was if the fielder touched the ghostman's base before the real runner touched their base.  Obviously there was no stealing bases for ghostmen.  And that's it.  It was such a blast, and we knew the rules, so it was fair.  Hope that helps.

What a wonderful weekend!  I spent Friday and Saturday at my Nannie's house with 6 of my friends.  It was relaxing and refreshing.  We played cards, watched TV, went spot lighting, laughed and talked.  We even had a round of ghost-man-on-base baseball.  It was super fun.

This week is going to be crazy.  I have 3 tests and a paper. ugh!  I hope your weekend was good.

Southwestern Live went wonderfully!  Only a couple of minor mistakes were made.  Other than that, it was awesome!  I had so much fun.  I got really nervous about an hour before the show, but when I got into my first costume, I was ready!  Good times.

Thanks for all y'alls' support.  Love you!

Do you ever get a little twinge of sadness when you realize life is sorta passing you by?  Tonight one of my friends came by that's now engaged!  How exciting!  I absolutely love it!  Then, I was reading one of my brother's friends' site who is pregnant.  They are having a baby!  It's just crazy.  Life is this process of waiting, working, joy, sadness, ups & downs, and despite everything, I love it.  Life never quits.  People grow up, get married and have kids.  It's life.  Wow.

This is going to be a wild week.  I have practice everyday until Thursday.  Then THE SHOW!  Yea!  I'm so excited about it.  And on Friday, I'm going to my Nannie's with all my friends.  It's going to be wonderful.

I got to talk to my brother and sister-in-law tonight.  They make things make sense.  My frustrations are minimal now after talking to them.  Thanks, y'all.

This is a fabulous movie!!

What a crazy, busy weekend!  I saw Hitch last night...super cute!  They get a little out of control with the sexual talk, but overall I really liked it.  See it!

For those that know me, I haven't had a real date in a while.  So tonight Angela (my roommate) brought home these bright red roses from work, and I played a mean joke on my next door neighbor.  I told her they were from a secret admirer to me.  I (unfortunately) am a good liar, and she believed me!  YEA!  I told her the truth though.  I felt bad cause she got really excited for me.  hehe!

(Purposefully vague) I'm really frustrated with a certain someone.  My heart is a little bruised, but I'm ok.

And it starts...

Beginning today I have practice daily until the show.  I can't believe it's almost here!  I think it's going to be great!  If you get a chance, come!  Thursday, Feb. 17 @ 6:30.

My procrastination hit an all time high today.  I had a paper due by 5 today, and I started at 2:30!  Yeaaah.

So today I went back to my very first Xanga post and read several.  Weird!  It's the same thought process and language, but it's not me.  Life has changed so drastically since I started this thing.  I began posting my freshman year in college about a month after I broke up with Robbie.  I don't come right out and talk about it much, but the saddness is definitely there.  Gosh, that was one of the crappiest times of my life.  This was all before Master's; so different!  Anyway, I was just amazed at how much God has done in my life, and I was kinda amazed at some of the witty comments I made (hehe).  I challenge you, if you're a long time Xanga-freak, go back and read your posts.  It's crazy.

You overwhelm me,
your goodness,
your kindness.
You overwhelm me,
your faithfulness,
your mercy.

And I come before you
and lay down my crown.
You are the king of my life.
You lift my head,
and I'm blameless before you.
You are the king of my life.

What a crazy weekend!  I was so busy, but it was fun.  I saw that movie Boogyman.  Don't see it.  It's super cheezy.  I screamed through the majority of the movie because things were jumping out, and it was creepy, but still cheezy.  Oh well.  I got to drink some horchata which is a Mexican drink...rice water, cinnimon, milk...yum!  SAGU Lion's basketball team won by one point!  That was an exciting game!

Well, another week.  I can't believe how fast this semester seems to be going.  I guess "they" are right, "Time flies when you're having fun!"

I'm sorry I've neglected this for a few days.  Everything is going very well.  So far I haven't had a lot of homework.  I'm working basketball games and intermural games so I'm making a little money which is nice.  I'm about to drop.  Karissa and I went running/ walking at 6 am this morning so I'm spent.  Goodnight!
